I'm Zsolt Szegheő [], a Hungarian web developer, born in 1981. I got captivated by programming when I was 14. First started with Turbo Pascal , then I built my own BBS with Maximus when I was 17. My career started as a Delphi programmer at the age of 21. I was always amazed by the possibilities of the web, so a few years later, I moved to web development.
Now, I have 10+ years of experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and many relevant tools. I'm continuously following the newest trends - or at least trying to keep up with them :)
I'm also a husband, and proud daddy of my two girls, my son, and my twin sons.
2018 — Present
I already had 3 kids, so because of family and other personal reasons, I decided to leave the company I created in 2010 and started working on my private web startup. In 2019 my twins were born. The following years with the pandemic made things really hard for me too. These times I mainly focused on expanding my tech skills in the Linux and DevOps areas and I spent a lot of time experimenting with the "Jamstack" concept. In 2022 I've started my journey with React.
2010 — 2018
Meanwhile, I got more and more experience with the web and realized that this is what I enjoy the most and want to do full-time. In 2010 I created a small company together with a friend. We had some long-term projects on building custom web-based database applications and some big portals with tens of thousands of daily visitors. Frontend and database were my main parts, but I also did a lot of PHP coding and server (PHP-FPM, Nginx) optimizations too.
2002 — 2009
I was 21 when I successfully proceeded with a Delphi course organized by an international adult education company. They offered me a job right after that at their Hungarian headquarters because of my outstanding results during their course. These years, I developed many in-house Windows database applications using Delphi and MS-SQL for the custom needs of the internal management. Few years after, I was promoted to the leader of the programming team.
